The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
posted on his Telegram channel that there could be made three conclusions after the US Parliament had adopted such a decision on Russia’s assets.

First: Washington made a blatantly illegal decision by committing theft, as emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin. “This will certainly undermine the trust of other states, businesses and private investors in the United States. It will destroy the principle of inviolability of property, the main basis of the entire global financial system. It will cause irreversible damage to international law, creating a precedent, and any state will have the right to do the same,” he said.

“Now there is every reason for our country to take tit-for-tat measures in relation to foreign assets,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma.

Second: Washington adopted a law on the confiscation of Russia’s assets to make the EU to adopt the same decision, which would be devastating for the European economy, according to Vyacheslav Volodin. “Of the $280 billion of frozen Russia’s assets around the world, only $5–6 billion are in the United States. The bulk of the assets (€210 billion) are frozen in the European Union,” he added.

The third conclusion, according to the Chairman of the State Duma, is that the United States has stopped believing in the victory of the Kiev regime. “Therefore, they are ready to give money only as a loan, which Ukraine will have to pay back, or not their own money, when it comes to giving Russia’s assets to Kiev,” he concluded.
